Financial Statement
Holy Trinity operates on a turnover of about £90,000 per year. Of this, some £39,000 is contributed to the Diocese of Hereford as Parish Share. Our financial policy is: • We pay our bills promptly • We keep our buildings and plant well maintained • We commit to pay our Parish Share on time and in full • We operate a Stewardship scheme, with members of the congregation contributing via an envelope scheme or by standing order • We recover Gift Aid on a quarterly basis • We invest our funds with the Church of England Central Board of Finance, current funds with the CBF deposit fund and longer term funds in the CBF Property Fund • We have no debts • We actively encourage the use of our buildings by the local community
In a typical year, income exceeds expenditure by between £5,000 and £10,000 and our current focus is to use this income to conserve and develop our church buildings and activities to make them more relevant and useful to the community they serve. We also support two third-world development trusts via individual giving and fund raising.
We make a commitment to our Diocese and our community to fund our operations and to manage our finances efficiently. This is underwritten by our congregation by their regular giving through standing orders or the envelope scheme.
There are many ways to support the activities at Holy Trinity either by volunteering you time and talents or by making a one off or regular donation. If you feel able to help, this will be most welcome: details are available from the parish office.
Have you considered including Holy Trinity in your will? We will use any legacies to fund new projects and development, not to fund deficits (we don’t have any).
