About us – Introduction

The congregation at Holy Trinity Church, with a few exceptions, live in the area around the church.  More and more people have come to live here as new housing estates have been developed.

Maintaining the building is a huge task and demands a lot of energy but those who were here before us used quality materials and have left us a superb building.  The days when a church building is used for an hour or so on a Sunday are long gone.  We are looking for creative ways of making the building available to as many people as possible.  So far we have hosted concerts, an art exhibition, a theatre group and barn dances.  We will continue to look for ways to serve the community of Whitecross.

Worship on Sundays and for the Church Festivals is supported by an excellent choir and music team.  The Carol Service, just before Christmas, has become one of the highlights of the year.   The main service on a Sunday is the Parish Eucharist – this service follows the Church of England - Common Worship - Order One.  After the service conversations continue over coffee.

We welcome parents bring children for baptism, couples preparing for marriage and families mourning the death of a loved one.  We seek to be a welcoming community and strive for excellence in all that we do.

We are excited about the future and will look for ways to respond to the many opportunities open to us.
